Details

Chase waives most personal-card annual fees, including Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Preferred, for accounts opened or held while on active-duty Title-10 orders. Waiver flows from the Military Lending Act.

Restrictions

Open the card while active-duty to lock in the waiver from day one. Sapphire Reserve ($795 annual fee) still earns the $300 travel credit + lounge access with the fee waived, that's the actual play. Business cards NOT covered. Activated Reserve cardholders who later separate keep the card but the fee returns at next renewal.
