PCS DITY/PPM Move — Profit Up to ~95% of Government Cost
Instead of letting the military move your household goods (HHG) via a government-contracted carrier, you can elect a Personally Procured Move (PPM, formerly DITY). DoD pays you 100% of what the government move would have cost minus a small admin holdback (currently you keep ~95% of the GBL rate). Many service members profit $3,000–$15,000 per PCS by moving themselves.
