Active drilling members of the NC Army or Air National Guard can get tuition reimbursed at NC-based schools, up to 100% of tuition and fees at community colleges and NC Promise universities (UNC Pembroke, Western Carolina, Fayetteville State, Elizabeth City State), and up to $3,240/semester for undergraduate programs at other schools.

Restrictions

Must have at least 2 years remaining on contract and maintain 2.0 GPA. Application windows: Fall (Aug 1-30), Spring (Jan 1-30), Summer (Apr 12, May 10). NCTAP is a reimbursement program, pay school first, then apply. Cannot receive 100% Post 9/11 GI Bill and NCTAP simultaneously; federal funding is primary payor.
