Active members of the Alabama National Guard and U.S. Armed Forces Reserve may receive a partial or full vehicle registration fee exemption under Alabama law. This applies to standard or distinctive license plates for qualifying individuals.
Restrictions
Ala. Code §§ 32-6-130, 40-12-244, 40-12-254. Apply at the county license plate office. Bring documentation of current Guard/Reserve status.
