Iowa offers a one-time $5,000 grant to help active duty service members and veterans buy a home. The service member must have actively served after September 11, 2001 and purchased a home after March 10, 2005. Gulf War veterans (served between August 2, 1990 and April 6, 1991 for at least 90 days) may also qualify.
Restrictions
Funds can vary by availability. Check with IDVA at (515) 252-4698 before applying.
