Active Michigan National Guard members can receive up to 100% tuition and mandatory fee reimbursement at Michigan schools, up to $14,400 per year toward associate's or bachelor's degrees and up to $6,000 toward master's degrees, certificates, or vocational training. As of 2023, spouses and dependents of eligible Guard members can also use the member's tuition assistance benefit.
Restrictions
Reimbursement-based, pay tuition first, then claim back. Must be in good standing and pass coursework (2.0 GPA undergraduate, 3.0 graduate). Lifetime undergrad limit: $86,000. Apply at michigan.gov/dmva within 14 days of class start.
