Guard / Reserve members on Annual Training (AT, typically 14-15 days/year) receive per-diem at the location's GSA rate for meals + incidentals AND have lodging paid IF on-base lodging isn't available or appropriate. Many Guard/Reserve members let the unit cover lodging by default and never claim per-diem on top — the per-diem is YOURS regardless of who pays for the room.

File a DD-1351-2 travel voucher within 5 days of AT return. AT also generates BAH-Type-2 (the lower at-home BAH rate) for the days you're on Title-10 — separate from drill pay. Stack: AT + per-diem + Title-10 BAH = often 2x what you "expected" to net. Cross-link [[banking-financial]] for SDP eligibility if AT is to a designated combat zone (rare but happens).
