Qualifying recipients of the VMSDEP tuition waiver (see above) whose service member was killed or became disabled in combat may also receive a cash stipend each semester, currently up to approximately $1,900 per semester, to help cover living expenses, books, and other college costs beyond tuition.
Restrictions
Stipend amount is set each budget cycle and may vary year to year (volatile). Only available to recipients qualifying based on combat-related death or disability, not all VMSDEP participants. Apply through DVS at (804) 225-2083.
