Veterans Tuition Waiver at CT Public Colleges and Universities
Connecticut waives tuition for eligible veterans attending any University of Connecticut campus or Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (CSCU) campus.
Details
Connecticut waives tuition for eligible veterans attending any University of Connecticut campus or Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (CSCU) campus. The state covers whatever VA education benefits don't pay, so veterans who don't have federal GI Bill benefits, or whose benefits run short, pay nothing for tuition. Charter Oak State College offers a 50% waiver instead of 100%. Waiver applies to credit courses only; books, fees, parking, and room and board are not covered.
Restrictions
National Guard members are also eligible; contact their Education Service Officer. Active military stationed in CT (including spouses and dependents) are eligible for in-state tuition rates at UConn and CSCU.
