Colorado's state-funded Veterans Mental Health Services Program pays for up to 26 mental health counseling sessions per year for eligible veterans, in person or via telehealth, at no cost. Additional sessions can be authorized if a provider determines they are clinically necessary. As of 2025 the program also covers complementary services like acupuncture, massage therapy, healing touch, and acupressure.

Restrictions

Program administered by Colorado Division of Veterans Affairs (DMVA). The 2025 legislation also created a $5M/year Military Family Behavioral Health Grant Program through the Behavioral Health Administration to fund nonprofit community programs serving veterans and their families.
