Washington veterans already enrolled in Medicaid are automatically referred by the Health Care Authority to the WDVA, which assigns them a specialist to identify and apply for any federal VA benefits they may be missing. The program is free and referral-based, no action needed to start.
Restrictions
A collaboration between WDVA and the Washington Health Care Authority (HCA). Veterans enrolled in Medicaid are referred by HCA; a WDVA specialist then conducts an eligibility assessment for federal VA benefits. Contact: enhancement@dva.wa.gov or 1-800-562-2308.
