North Dakota veteran-owned businesses (at least 51% owned by a veteran, active duty service member, or current North Dakota National Guard member) receive a $250 premium credit toward their workers' compensation insurance (Workforce Safety and Insurance) for the first year of coverage for new employees. Passed as SB 2046 during the 2025 legislative session.

Restrictions

SB 2046 passed the 2025 ND Legislative Assembly. Business must be at least 51% owned by a veteran, active service member, or NDNG member. Credit applies to WSI (Workforce Safety and Insurance) premiums for first-year employment. Applies per new hire, not per business.
