SELRP — VA Specialty Education Loan Repayment Program
The VA pays off student loans for recent graduates in specialty clinical fields who agree to work at a VA facility. Targets specialty providers VA is short on (psychiatry, oncology, etc.). Applications now open as of May 2026.

Restrictions
Stacks with PSLF (Public Service Loan Forgiveness) — VA employment counts as qualifying public-service work, so SELRP can knock down principal while PSLF handles the rest after 120 qualifying payments. Specialty-list and award amounts published annually by VHA.
