Pennsylvania veterans, active-duty service members, and their spouses or surviving spouses applying for any educator certification (teacher license) get preferential application handling and a reduced application fee under Act 143. Eligible applicants must meet all standard PA certification requirements.
Restrictions
Apply through the Teacher Information Management System (TIMS), indicating veteran status. Veteran must have served at least 180 days of active duty or was discharged due to a service-connected disability.
