Vermont National Guard members can get interest-free, forgivable loans to cover tuition at Vermont State Colleges, the University of Vermont, Vermont private colleges (up to UVM in-state rate), and Community College of Vermont. The loan covers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and up to two certificate programs per term. Loan forgiveness is based on continued service in the Guard.
Restrictions
Member must use all available federal tuition benefits (like federal tuition assistance) before VNGTBP covers the remainder. Applies to tuition only, not room and board or fees.
