Under Tennessee's TEAM Act, veterans who meet the minimum qualifications for open state preferred-service positions are guaranteed an interview. Eligible veterans and certain surviving spouses of veterans who died in service also receive preference points in the state hiring process.
Restrictions
TEAM Act (Tennessee Excellence Accountability and Management Act) went into law April 24, 2012. Applies to preferred-service state positions only, not executive-service positions.
