Honorably discharged veterans who receive federal employment preference are given hiring preference at all South Carolina state agencies and public universities. At least one qualified veteran must be interviewed for every full-time position posted, as long as a qualifying veteran applies.
Restrictions
Effective January 1, 2021. Requires DD-214 submitted with state application. Military training and experience credited year-for-year toward minimum qualifications.
