SDP — Savings Deposit Program (10% Guaranteed in Combat Zone)
During a deployment to a designated combat zone, you can deposit up to $10,000 into the Savings Deposit Program and earn a guaranteed 10% annual interest, compounded quarterly. No equivalent rate exists anywhere in the civilian market.

Deposits start earning interest the day they post. Must close the account within 120 days of leaving the combat zone — interest stops accruing 90 days after redeployment. Stack with the Combat Zone Tax Exclusion (CZTE) — the deposit comes from tax-free pay, the interest is taxable but earned on tax-free principal.
