Alabama public colleges, universities, community colleges, junior colleges, and two-year postsecondary technical schools may waive tuition and fees for Purple Heart Medal recipients pursuing undergraduate studies. This is a state-level benefit on top of any federal education entitlements.
Restrictions
Ala. Code § 31-6-17. Waiver is at the institution's discretion ("may waive"). Veterans should apply directly to their institution's financial aid office.
