Massachusetts waives the state portion of the initial professional license fee for veterans applying through the Division of Occupational Licensure (DOL). The waiver covers hundreds of regulated professions. Active-duty members and military spouses relocated to Massachusetts also get expedited licensure processing and credit for military training.

Restrictions

Under VALOR Act II, fee waiver applies to initial licensure only. Third-party exam/application-processing fees are not waived. Self-identify as veteran or active duty by submitting the Armed Services or Active Duty Affidavit Form. Contact DOLValoract@mass.gov.
