When a Pennsylvania National Guard member dies while on state or federal active-duty orders, their surviving spouse and children receive a full tuition waiver at Pennsylvania state-owned universities, community colleges, and approved trade schools. The waiver covers tuition at the resident rate.

Restrictions

Guard member must have been a PA resident at time of death. Survivors must be PA residents and eligible for resident tuition. Contact DMVA at 717-861-8910 or RA-EG@pa.gov.
