Operation Homefront's Critical Financial Assistance program covers urgent financial needs for military families: utility bills, vehicle repair, medical bills, food assistance, deployment-related expenses. Grants up to $5,000 per family per crisis event. Funds disbursed to vendors directly, not the family.
Restrictions
Apply via operationhomefront.org. Family caseworker assigned, often a vet spouse herself. Pair with [[membership-orgs]] AFAS / NMCRS / AER / CGMA, Operation Homefront fills the gap when branch-specific aid societies max out or the family's branch eligibility is fuzzy. Strong play for spouses managing emergencies during a deployment. Faster turnaround than VA emergency programs.
