Details

Veterans who move to Ohio and enroll in a public college or university are immediately considered Ohio residents for tuition purposes, no waiting period. This means out-of-state tuition rates never apply if the veteran establishes Ohio domicile before the first day of enrollment. Spouses and dependents qualify too.

Restrictions

Requires one year of honorable active duty service (or medical discharge related to service). Veteran must establish Ohio domicile before the first day of the requested term. Deceased/MIA/POW veteran's family only needs Ohio domicile, not the veteran.
