New Jersey veterans who own at least 51% of a business can get certified as a Veteran-Owned Business (VOB) or Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (DVOB) through the state at no cost, the $100 application fee has been waived indefinitely. Certified DVOBs are eligible for a 3% set-aside of state contracting and purchase order dollars.
Restrictions
VOB certification requires 51% veteran ownership, NJ principal place of business, and DD-214 showing honorable discharge. DVOB has a 3% state contracting set-aside. Certification must be reverified annually.
