Children of New Jersey veterans officially declared a prisoner of war (POW) or missing in action (MIA) after January 1, 1960 may receive free undergraduate college tuition at any public or private institution in New Jersey. The POW or MIA must have been a New Jersey resident at time of entry into service.
Restrictions
A copy of DD Form 1300 (report of casualty) must accompany the application. Contact Veterans Benefits Bureau at 609-530-6949 or vbb@dva.nj.gov. Child must attend a NJ institution.
