My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) provides up to $4,000 total ($2,000/year cap) in tuition assistance for military spouses pursuing portable career certifications, licenses, or associate degrees tied to a specific career path. DoD pays the school directly. Designed for spouses of junior service members facing career disruption from PCS moves.
Restrictions
Must get an Education & Training Plan (ETP) APPROVED before classes start, retroactive approval not available. Covers: certifications (CompTIA, HR, medical assistant, bookkeeping, real estate), licenses, and associate degrees tied to a portable career. Does NOT cover bachelor's/master's degrees, general electives unrelated to the program, or living expenses. School must be on the MyCAA-approved li
