Active duty service members, honorably discharged veterans, their spouses, and surviving spouses of deceased service members can have the initial application fee waived when getting a real estate license in West Virginia. The waiver is for first-time applicants only and covers the initial license application fee.
Restrictions
Applicants must not have previously received an initial licensure fee waiver from the WV Real Estate Commission and must not have previously held a WV real estate license. Contact WVREC at wvrec@wv.gov or 304-558-3555.
