Active duty service members, honorably discharged veterans, and their spouses and surviving spouses can have the initial licensing fee waived when applying for a professional license from West Virginia's nursing board. The waiver applies to first-time licensure only, not renewals.
Restrictions
The waiver does not apply to educational permits. Applies to initial licensure only, not renewals. Contact the Board at (304) 744-0900. A similar waiver is available through the WV Real Estate Commission (rec.wv.gov).
