The Louisiana Workforce Commission operates Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program (DVOP) specialists and Local Veterans' Employment Representatives (LVER) at workforce centers statewide. DVOP staff provide intensive one-on-one job search help for veterans with significant barriers to employment. LVER staff work with employers to open up veteran-friendly job opportunities.
Restrictions
Veterans receive priority of service in LWC-funded programs. Access through Louisiana Workforce Commission offices statewide. Services include resume help, interview prep, job matching, and referrals to training programs. Contact local Louisiana American Job Center (workforce center) to connect with a DVOP specialist.
