Kentucky grants interview preference to veterans and eligible family members applying for competitive classified state and local government jobs. Hiring managers must offer up to five veterans an interview, regardless of where they ranked in the applicant pool.
Restrictions
Veterans must submit a DD-214 through the state's online job portal at personnel.ky.gov to receive preference. Eligible family members include spouses of veterans with service-connected disabilities. Applies to state and local competitive classified positions only.
