Michigan waives the initial license or registration fee and application processing fee for veterans applying for any professional license regulated under the Occupational Code (contractors, builders, cosmetologists, real estate agents, and many others), provided the applicant was honorably discharged or discharged under honorable conditions (general).
Restrictions
Present DD-214, DD-215, or equivalent discharge documentation showing honorable or general under honorable conditions discharge. Call LARA Bureau of Professional Licensing at 517-241-0199 for more information.
