Under Iowa's Home Base Iowa Act, veterans and their dependents automatically qualify for in-state tuition rates at Iowa state universities and community colleges, regardless of how long they've lived in Iowa. This removes the usual residency waiting period that out-of-state students face.
Restrictions
Passed as part of the Home Base Iowa Act in 2014. Works alongside other financial aid and benefits. Contact the institution's veterans services office to apply.
