Active duty service members, Guard and Reserve members, and recently separated veterans with qualifying military driving experience can skip the commercial driver's license (CDL) road skills test in Tennessee. They still must pass the CDL knowledge test. This helps military drivers convert their experience into a civilian CDL faster.

Restrictions

Program name is "Highways for Heroes." Military vehicle experience (such as operating MRAPs) qualifies. Knowledge test still required.
