Georgia operates two state-owned skilled nursing care homes for eligible war-era veterans, one in Augusta and one in Milledgeville. These homes provide high-quality skilled nursing care. For veterans with a 70%+ service-connected disability rating, the daily fee is covered entirely by the VA.

Restrictions

Eligible veterans must be Georgia residents who served during WWII, Korea, Cold War, Vietnam, or the Persian Gulf era (August 2, 1990, present), and must be approved for skilled nursing care by the VA. A nominal daily fee applies; Aid & Attendance benefit can help offset costs. Apply through either home's admissions office or any GDVS field office.
