When Mississippi state agencies hire, qualified veterans appear at the top of the applicant list. Disabled veterans are listed above non-disabled veterans. All state job applications require applicants to indicate veteran status. Purple Heart recipients are classified as disabled veterans for preference purposes.
Restrictions
Created by Senate Bill 2863 (2019 Regular Session). Military spouses facing a Permanent Change of Station can also contact MSPB for transition assistance.
