Details

South Carolina employers who hire veterans into registered apprenticeship programs earn a state income tax credit, up to $3,000 in year one, $2,500 in year two, and $1,000 in year three per veteran hired after June 22, 2022.

Restrictions

Credit applies to employer, not the veteran directly, but this creates strong financial incentive for employers to hire and retain veteran apprentices. Valid for hires made before 2027.
