California Department of Consumer Affairs licensed professionals who are called to active duty have their license renewal requirements fully waived, including renewal fees and continuing education, for the entire period they are on active duty. This covers hundreds of license types from nursing to contracting.
Restrictions
Must notify your licensing board within 60 days of receiving a discharge notice. Can't practice privately under the waiver, only under military service. Authority: Business and Professions Code §114.3.
