Children of Michigan veterans who died, became totally and permanently disabled, or went missing in action due to military service can receive up to $2,800 per academic year (up to $11,200 total over four years) toward undergraduate tuition at Michigan institutions. Children must be 16-26 years old and Michigan residents for at least 12 months prior to applying.

Restrictions

Natural or adopted children only, stepchildren are not eligible. Veteran must have been a legal Michigan resident before service or established residency in Michigan after service. Apply via Michigan Student Aid at michigan.gov/ssg.
