Active California National Guard members, State Guard members, and Naval Militia can receive a state grant covering up to 100% of tuition and fees at UC, CSU, or California community colleges. It can also be used at eligible private California institutions. The grant can be used for up to four full-time academic years.
Restrictions
Requires 2 years of service and continued active service while in the program. FAFSA required. Priority application period: January 15, April 30 each year. Email cmd.gi.bill@cmd.ca.gov for questions.
