Details

Under A.R.S. § 41-1080.01, Arizona state licensing agencies must waive the initial application fee for any license if the applicant is an honorably discharged veteran who was discharged within the two years before applying. This covers first-time Arizona applicants across many regulated professions.

Restrictions

This is a statewide rule, not board-specific. Each licensing agency implements it. Also covers active-duty military spouses and low-income applicants. Apply for the fee waiver before submitting the full license application. The two-year window runs from discharge date. Statute: A.R.S. § 41-1080.01.
