Veteran-owned Alaska businesses get a 5% preference (up to $5,000) when bidding on state contracts, as long as the business qualifies as an "Alaska bidder." Applies to sole proprietorships, corporations, LLCs, and partnerships where a majority of the owners are Alaska veterans.

Restrictions

Defined in Alaska Statute AS 36.30.321(f). An Alaska veteran must be a state resident and separated under conditions other than dishonorable. Alaska National Guard, Army National Guard, Air National Guard, and Alaska Naval Militia service qualifies.
