Wyoming resident veterans can reduce the assessed value of their primary residence by $3,000 for property tax purposes each year. If you don't own a home, the exemption can instead be applied to vehicle licensing fees (up to $90 total). You must have lived in Wyoming for at least three years and have a DD-214 showing service during World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, an overseas armed conflict with an Expeditionary Medal, or any service-connected disability. Surviving spouses who have not remarried also qualify.
Restrictions
Apply at the County Assessor's Office between January 1 and the fourth Monday in May each year. Disabled veterans need a VA or Department of Defense disability letter. W.S. § 39-13-105.
