Certain Wisconsin disabled veterans and former prisoners of war qualify for a free annual park/forest/trail pass that waives vehicle admission and trail fees at all state parks, forests, and recreation areas. The pass is issued as an ID card and presented at each visit.
Restrictions
Application must be signed and stamped by a County Veteran Service Officer, then mailed to the Wisconsin DNR Bureau of Parks and Recreation. Separate from the returning-veteran one-time free hunting/fishing license.
