Veterans with a 100% permanent and total service-connected disability rating are fully exempt from paying real estate taxes on their primary residence, including up to one acre of land. The exemption extends to jointly held property with a spouse, and surviving spouses of eligible veterans keep the exemption as long as they don't remarry and continue to occupy the home.

Restrictions

No application to the state DVS, veteran files with their local Commissioner of the Revenue. Must provide a VA summary of benefits letter showing 100% permanent and total service-connected disability.
