Colorado allows honorably discharged veterans to add a "Veteran" identifier and/or their branch of service to their Colorado driver's license or state ID card. Once added, no documentation is needed at renewal. The veteran identifier on a license can serve as proof of military service at businesses, state parks, and state agencies offering veteran discounts.

Restrictions

Apply in person at a Colorado driver's license office with original DD-214 (Member 4 copy) or valid military ID. Only one branch identifier allowed per document. CRS §42-2-303(5)(a).
