Virginia resident veterans with a service-connected disability rated at 30% or higher can buy a lifetime hunting and/or fishing license at a heavily reduced fee. Veterans rated totally and permanently disabled get the license for free. The license is valid for life, even if the veteran later moves out of state.
Restrictions
Fee tiers: totally/permanently disabled = $0; 70%+ = $50; 50-69% = $75; 30-49% = $100. Trout fishing requires an additional trout license. Apply by mail to DWR Lifetime License Sales, P.O. Box 2978, Henrico, VA 23228.
