Port Everglades
Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale): Free Cruise Parking for Disabled Veterans
Veterans with a Disabled Veteran (DV) license plate from any U.S.
Details
Veterans with a Disabled Veteran (DV) license plate from any U.S. state get free parking at all Port Everglades lots and garages for the duration of their cruise. The DV plate must be displayed on the vehicle being parked, and the veteran to whom it was issued must be in the vehicle. Standard on-site parking is $20/day, so this saves hundreds of dollars on a week-long sailing. Florida DV plates are issued under Florida Statute 320.084.
Restrictions
DV plates from any state qualify, not limited to Florida residents. A Florida Toll Exemption Permit or a vehicle modified with special adaptive equipment (ramps, lifts, hand/foot controls) also qualifies under Florida Statute 316.1964. No reservation required; parking attendants process the waiver on-site.
