Oklahoma residents who have a permanent 100% service-connected disability can get a sales tax exemption card that eliminates state sales tax on up to $25,000 in purchases per year. Surviving spouses of eligible veterans get a reduced version, up to $1,000 per year. Enacted permanently after SB1215 removed the prior registration deadline.

Restrictions

Veterans must first register in the Oklahoma Veterans Registry at registry.odva.ok.gov and then request an exemption letter. Submit to OTC via OKTap online, by mail, or in person.
