New Jersey offers a range of specialty license plates for veterans and military at reduced or no cost, including plates for Disabled American Veterans ($15), Combat Infantryman Badge ($15), Prisoners of War (free), Silver Star (free), Gold Star Family (free), Navy Cross ($15), and branch-specific Reserve plates.
Restrictions
Congressional Medal of Honor plates are issued free to holders only. Gold Star Family plates require application through NJ Gold Star Mothers. Call MVC at 609-292-6500 ext. 5061 for applications. Various branch Reserve plates cost $25.
