New Jersey resident veterans with any service-connected disability rating from the VA receive free hunting and fishing licenses, stamps, and permits, including deer, bear, and turkey permits. This applies to all licenses for which the veteran is eligible.
Restrictions
Requires proof of service-connected disability (VA letter or VA card), DD-214, and proof of NJ residency for at least six months. Apply by mail to NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife, Attn: Disabled Veteran Licensing, PO Box 420, Trenton, NJ 08625. Call 609-777-4245.
